Who We Are

The Town of Winthrop through out history has always had a gathering and meeting place.  The most recent being “The Barn” it was built on this location through community funding and volunteer hours.  The Town of Winthrop now owns the land and building and the Winthrop Barn Association manages it.

The barn still exists because of the dedication and enthusiasm of our membership.
They continue to volunteer countless unpaid hours to this Community Center. Through their efforts we continue to expand our services and keep the old building up and running.

Today the barn is not only the meeting place of many local groups it also is a venue for many out of town visitors.  We dance and sing, we raise money for non-profits, we hold conferences, we are there for stories and poems, we are a venue for school activities, we host weddings and memorials.

We are the place to be…Enjoy the beautiful Methow Valley and our “Barn”.
